How to Make Lemon Caper Sea Bass

Salt for seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, separated
2 tbsp capers
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1-2 lemon wedges
Optional: Greens, like watercress or baby arugula
- Lightly Salt the fish.
- Place olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the seasoned sea bass fillet.
- After a couple of minutes, add 1 tbsp butter to the pan. This will give the fish a delicious buttery flavor.
- After about 4 minutes, flip the fish and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Once cooked through, remove from the pan and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium-low and add 2 tbsp of capers to the pan.
- Lightly mash the capers to release their brine and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add thinly sliced lemon in a single layer to the pan.
- Let them brown for 2-3 minutes, then flip and add the other tablespoon of butter.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes and remove the caper sauce from the pan.
- Plate the dish with a bed of your favorite greens, like watercress or baby arugula.
