Seafood lovers rejoice! There are plenty of seafood festivals happening all across the country this summer. From Maine to Florida, these festivals celebrate everything from lobster to shrimp to crab.

1) San Gennaro Festival, NYC 2022

At the turn of the century many Italian immigrants settled in the lower east side of Manhattan into what is now known as Little Italy. What started as a 1 day “block party” in 1926 celebrating the patron saint of Naples, Saint Gennaro, the San Gennaro festival now spans 11 blocks for 11 days in September. For decades this festival has highlighted the proud Italian heritage and the world famous food Little Italy is known for. Vendors with raw clams, oysters, all manner of fried seafood and Italian delectables line the streets allowing visitors from all parts of the world to enjoy outdoor beer, wine and a taste of NYC History.

The seafood festival started in 1978 by the Destin Charter Boat Association Women's Auxiliary and has grown into a major seafood festival that attracts tourists from all over. The Destin Seafood Festival is held on the Destin Harbor Boardwalk and features a variety of seafood vendors, live music, and other entertainment.
