Grilled Halibut with Fresh Mango Salsa

4 Steps

This Grilled Halibut with Fresh Mango Salsa is the perfect summer seafood recipe — light, fresh, and packed with bright flavor. Tender halibut fillets are grilled until perfectly flaky and topped with a refreshing mango salsa made with ripe mango, jalapeño, lime, red onion, and fresh cilantro.

Simple enough for a weeknight dinner yet elevated enough for summer entertaining, this dish brings restaurant-quality seafood straight to your table.

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Mango Salsa

In a medium bowl, combine the diced mango, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir well and refrigerate while preparing the halibut.

Step 2: Prep the Halibut

Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil, then season evenly with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3: Grill the Halibut

Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

Place the halibut fillets directly on the grill and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque, flakes easily with a fork, and has light grill marks.

Avoid moving the fish too early to help prevent sticking.

Step 4: Assemble & Serve

Transfer the grilled halibut to a serving platter or plates and spoon the fresh mango salsa over the top. Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges.
